Toronto to Toronto

Toronto to Toronto

Although we equally value the beauty of all of our trips, this 19 day trip of 2615.10 km (1624.95 miles) is really a trip known to be an East Canada Classic.
Four major cities, Toronto, Ottawa, Quebec City and Montreal are part of this trip. Some lovely little gems lie on your way such as Wye Marsh National Wildlife Area, Big Chute Marine Railway National Historic Site, the near ghost town of Balaclava, Grandes-Piles Municipal Park and Wharf, Parc des Chutes de la Petite Rivière Bostonna...

Thousand Islands

Thousand Islands2 nights
Landon Bay Centre

Look for accommodation in Gananoque in the heart of the 1000 Islands or one of the nearby towns.

Everywhere you look, you can see islands varying in size from very small to an appropriate size. To count as one of the Thousand Islands, emergent land within the river channel must have at least one square foot (0.093 m2) of land above water level year-round, and support at least two living trees. It is fun just looking at the islands but of course it's even more fun to get on to them. Some of them are on the Ontario side of the St. Laurence River (Canada), some on the New York side (USA). The Ogdensburg-Prescott International Bridge provides Canadians with convenient access to all points in the North Eastern United States.

Info for this point: Landon Bay offers the visitor a selection of trails. The view from 'The Lookout' has long been recognized as the best natural view in the Thousand Islands area.

Day 20:The 'Thousand Islands region' will surprise you with its Victorian houses, wild islands, nature preserves offering a home to a variety of animals, major landmarks such as Boldt Castle and Singer Castle. Another peculiarity are several shipwrecks, some of them can be seen from the surface.

Day 21:Driving: From the Landon Bay Centre in Thousand Islands National Park to Toronto Pearson International Airport your estimated driving time is 2 hours and 52 minutes.
