Palisades Interstate Parkway, with its beautiful high cliffs, and route 9W will guide you from Manhattan along the scenic vistas of the Hudson River Valley all the way to Albany, state capitol of New York.
Historic U.S. route 20 is your next destination. Route 20 is dotted with attractions of great historical significance or just fine places to relax e.g. the Cayuga-Seneca Canal or a vintage roadside treasure such as 'The Tepee'. At the end of the day you'll find yourself enjoying the light spectacle of the Niagara Falls.

The last part of your trip record some more scenic miles or km with the connection of the Connecticut River Byway and White Mountain Trail National Scenic Byway. Weather you choose for Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area or soak up the atmosphere of the historic downton area, you will not be disappointed.
